REVIEW

Deep amber color. Expressive, generous nose - the oak aging gave it a very opulent character. Herbal tea hits you instantly with orange and overripe apricot in the background. You can sense it will be strong. Palate mirrors the nose with the a rich herbal tea character, low-to-mid sugar, but with pretty grippy tannins and unwelcome bitterness in the aftertaste that reminds me of crushed grape seeds, but when it subsides you’re left with pure grapes. Low-to-mid acidity. The wine feels pretty heavy and alcoholic - it’s almost like Jagermeister. If you’re into heavy, rich stuff and can handle some bitterness, it’s something for you.
