Drifting down the slopes of the Levant, this soul carries the warm breeze of the Mediterranean. A creamy, honeyed traveler who prefers the high altitude of the mountains to stay fresh, textured, and lively.

Why you'll like me
Why you'll like me
I'm creamy
I'm historic
I'm textured
I bring a weight and history to the table that few others can match. While others chase sharp acidity, I offer a luxurious, waxy texture that coats the palate like liquid silk. Think of me as a creamy Chardonnay with an exotic, Middle Eastern twist. I'm perfect for mezze spreads or rich dishes where a thin, watery wine would simply disappear.

Why maybe not
I'm low-acid
I'm broad
I'm heavy
If you are hunting for a laser-sharp, zesty acid bomb, I will disappoint you. My acidity is naturally low, and in the wrong hands, I can feel a bit flabby or heavy. I also have a rustic side that might confuse palates used to polished, industrial wines. I require patience and an appreciation for a broader, heavier style of white.

When drinking, notice this
Viscous mouthfeel
Honeyed notes
Dried fruits
Expect a distinct viscosity that makes me feel substantial in your mouth. I tend to show notes of honey and dried stone fruits rather than fresh, green crispness. You might notice a savory, almost nutty finish that speaks to my ancient lineage. I'm not shy, so prepare for a wine that asserts its presence from the very first sip.

MY LIFE STORIES
The Chardonnay Rumor
The Chardonnay Rumor
The Chardonnay Rumor
I was born in the Bekaa Valley under the watchful gaze of ancient temples. For the longest time, people whispered that I was the grandfather of the famous Chardonnay. It was a flattering rumor that got me into all the best parties and made people treat me with extra respect. Sadly, DNA testing ruined the fun and proved we aren't directly related, but I still carry myself with that same nobility and richness. I don't need a famous relative to prove my worth when I have thousands of years of history on my own roots.

Escaping the Still
Escaping the Still
Escaping the Still
For centuries, my destiny was tied to the anise-flavored spirit called Arak. Farmers loved my high sugar levels because I could ferment into a strong base for distillation. It was a dizzying existence, always being boiled down to my essence. Recently, however, winemakers realized I have a voice that deserves to be heard without being distilled away. Now, I'm carefully tended to retain my freshness. I'm stepping out of the still and into the bottle, showing the world that a local legend can stand tall as a fine wine.

My home is rugged and beautiful. I thrive on the rocky soils of Mount Lebanon, where the air is thin and the sun is intense. I need those cool mountain nights to lock in what little acidity I possess, otherwise I get lazy and fat. My vines are often untrained, sprawling across the ground like they own the place to protect the moisture in the soil. This struggle against the elements gives me my character. I absorb the essence of the scrubland and the sun, turning hardship into liquid gold.

REGIONS I LEAD

Bekaa Valley
Most people don't associate active conflict zones with world-class Cabernet, but Lebanon defies logic. This valley is the spiritual home of winemaking, pumping out Bordeaux blends that scream elegance despite the chaos that often surrounds them.

Mount Lebanon
Perched above the Mediterranean, this appellation takes viticulture to dizzying heights literally and historically. It is not just about altitude here but attitude, mixing ancient traditions with a cool climate that makes bottles pop with freshness.

WINE STYLES I LEAD

Lebanese Obeideh
Often mistaken for a Chardonnay relative, Obeideh offers a luscious, creamy texture that feels like a warm hug. It was once reserved for anise spirits but now stands alone as a textured, honeyed white wine.
