REVIEW
Medium amber color. Marzipan, almond, dried apricot on the very harmonious nose. Palate then leans into an intense and complex mix of dried apricot with a natural wine funk and jasmine. The orange wine tannins are nice and mellow after 5 years of aging and go well with a mid acidity. Aftertaste gets you the ever-present dried apricots with a marzipan hint. This is what harmony looks like.

THE WINERY
Andrej and Nadja (who was born in Germany) are the duo behind this Svätý Jur project. The name Naboso means barefoot, which sums up their vibe: natural, honest, and very connected to the granite dirt. They have about 5 hectares of vines and a very serious Security Manager named Ryba who happens to be a terrier. Everything in their cellar is moved by gravity and aged with a lot of patience. They have a strict rule that if a wine doesn't impress their own palates, it never leaves the building. It is low intervention juice that actually stays stable, proving you can be wild and precise at the same time.

THE WINE
Grapes from 50 year old vines held a reunion on south facing granite slopes. This mix of 50% Welschriesling, 20% Grüner Veltliner, 20% Red Sylvaner, and 10% Gewürztraminer kept 80% of its stems for a two week skin contact party. It spent a year chilling in neutral acacia and oak barrels to find its groove. With just a splash of SO2, it is an honest version of the vineyard that is completely unfiltered and unbothered.
