REVIEW

Deep amber color. Very aromatic nose - sweet plum jam at the beginning which changes int sweet peach syrup. Little spicy note. The palate has a very sweet, syrupy character with honey and spice, and quite noticeable medium acidity that comes in the first wave. The sugar is very high, but always paired with the acidity. Spice in the aftertaste. The wine is basically a combo of syrup, honey, and spice all the way, except for the beginning where the nose fools you for the first 15 minutes.

THE WINERY

Jaro and Jarka Ostrozovic are the OG Tokaj power couple. Since 1990, they’ve been teaching Furmint and Lipovina that noble rot is basically a fancy fungal glow up. Their volcanic tuff cellars are underground VIP clubs where juice transforms into liquid gold. It’s sweet, legendary, and dripping with medals. If sunshine had a flavor, it would definitely be living its best life inside every single drop found right within these hills.

THE WINE

After a manual harvest, the grapes were sent on a mandatory three-month vacation on straw mats. It is essentially a very long, very dry nap designed to turn them into sugary raisins. These sleepy berries were then pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
